Strategic Partnerships

Building Innovation with the Best

At Finamac™, innovation is not developed in isolation. It is the result of a structured ecosystem that connects academia, research foundations, engineers, and industry specialists.

We believe that true technological advancement emerges from the integration of pure research and applied engineering — where academic knowledge meets industrial execution.

This synergy has been a cornerstone of our evolution.

Academic Partnerships

Connecting Knowledge to Industry

Many engineering concepts remain abstract until applied in real-world challenges. Finamac™ actively bridges this gap by maintaining partnerships with leading universities that develop research in areas directly related to our technologies.

In Brazil, we maintain collaboration and academic relationships with institutions such as:

  • FEA – UNICAMP
  • FEQ – UNICAMP
  • POLI – USP
  • FAU – USP
  • ITA – Technological Institute of Aeronautics

These institutions are recognized among the most respected centers of engineering and applied sciences in Latin America.

With the expansion of our operations in Miami, USA, Finamac™ has also initiated efforts to establish academic partnerships internationally, strengthening our global research integration.

Through these collaborations, we enhance developments in:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Refrigeration systems
  • Materials engineering
  • Food engineering
  • Industrial design
  • Automation and digital modeling

Educational Impact & Industry Development

The shortage of highly specialized professionals in advanced mechanical design led Finamac™ to take an unprecedented initiative.

In 2002, what began as internal 3D CAD training programs for our engineering team evolved into the creation of Brazil’s first Technical School of Computer Graphics.

Developed in partnership with the Casemiro Montenegro Filho Foundation and supported by professors from the Computer Science Department of ITA, the institution became a national reference in digital modeling and engineering graphics.

The school was officially accredited by Brazil’s Ministry of Education (MEC) as a College of Technology and trained hundreds of professionals over more than a decade. In 2016, it attracted the attention of a major educational group, which acquired the institution.

Through this initiative, Finamac™ contributed directly to the development of Brazil’s engineering and industrial design ecosystem.

Foundations & Research Support

Finamac™ maintains long-term partnerships with research foundations that support innovation and technological advancement.

Casemiro Montenegro Filho Foundation

Our first formal research partnership (2001), enabling the creation of Brazil’s first Professional School of Computer Graphics and connecting us to ITA’s academic expertise.

FAPESP – São Paulo Research Foundation

A long-standing partner in the development of innovative equipment and proprietary technologies. Multiple advanced projects have been submitted and supported, some with the potential to transform global ice cream manufacturing standards.

FINEP – Financing Agency for Studies and Projects

Engaged particularly during investment-intensive phases of product development and industrial scaling.

We believe that research foundations — especially those connected to leading universities — are essential drivers of sustainable technological evolution.

Research & Industry Expertise

The ice cream and chocolate equipment industry is an extremely specialized niche within the global food machinery sector. Worldwide, only a small number of companies operate with true engineering structure and R&D capabilities.

Most technical knowledge available in publications covers only fundamental principles. The real know-how remains concentrated within a limited group of specialized engineers and technicians globally.

In this context, Finamac™ adopts a multidisciplinary research model.

Rather than relying on isolated expertise, we integrate specialists from different areas:

  • Food engineering – formulation, freezing processes, product behavior
  • Refrigeration engineering – thermal efficiency and system architecture
  • Mechanical engineering – structural design and motion systems
  • Materials engineering – durability, corrosion resistance, and food-grade compliance

Each researcher contributes deep expertise in their field, while Finamac™ integrates this knowledge into proprietary equipment systems.

How Finamac™ Differs

Unlike competitors that primarily follow incremental improvements already circulating in the industry, Finamac™ builds structured research partnerships that allow us to:

  • Develop proprietary technologies
  • Register patents
  • Anticipate industry evolution
  • Increase efficiency and sustainability
  • Improve product quality at the molecular and structural level

Innovation, for us, is not imitation — it is engineered advancement.
