Finamac™ is a Brazilian company founded in 1985, built upon a legacy of tradition, innovation, and entrepreneurial vision that began decades earlier.
Our roots trace back to 1954, when an Italian immigrant arrived in Brazil and began working in the ice cream and gelato sector. Like many Italian families who carried the authentic culture of gelateria across the world, he dedicated his life to the craft — first in ice cream production, later as a refrigeration mechanic, and eventually assembling small artisanal ice cream machines in his spare time.
From this environment of hands-on expertise, technical curiosity, and respect for quality was born a new generation of innovation.
Inspired by this heritage, his son — an Aeronautical Engineer with experience in the aerospace industry and a strong entrepreneurial vocation — transformed the family’s artisanal knowledge into an industrial vision. In 1985, he founded Finamac, making the company viable with a revolutionary compact popsicle maker, the first of its kind on the market.
Finamac was born from the fusion of Italian gelato tradition and precision engineering, evolving over the decades into what can best be described as Made in Italy tradition with American technology — combining craftsmanship, design sensitivity, and product excellence with advanced engineering, industrial efficiency, and global standards.
Today, Finamac™ is present in more than 100 countries and is recognized worldwide for durability, innovation, performance, and reliability in industrial equipment for ice cream and frozen dessert production.
Our History
1954 – The Origin
An Italian immigrant arrives in Brazil and begins working in the ice cream and gelato sector. Over the years, he becomes a refrigeration mechanic and develops artisanal ice cream machines, establishing the technical and cultural roots that would later inspire Finamac.
1985 – Foundation
Finamac is officially founded in Brazil by an Aeronautical Engineer driven by innovation and entrepreneurial vision. The company begins with the development of a revolutionary compact popsicle machine — unprecedented in the market.
1988 – The First Production
At the age of 29, the founder builds the first five ice cream machines in a room in his own house, overcoming significant challenges and starting what would become a global success story.
2006 – International Expansion
The Finamac™ brand expands internationally and becomes present in over 100 countries. Continuous innovation in ice cream machines gains recognition in both conventional and digital business media.
2013 – Technological Innovation
Finamac™ receives support from FAPESP to develop an innovative ice cream machine in collaboration with researchers from ITA, POLI (USP), and CALTECH, with technological support from international suppliers.
2014 – Design and Export Recognition
Supported by the APEX Design Export Program, Finamac™ develops the ROBOPOP popsicle machines, certified according to U.S. and Canadian safety and health standards. The company becomes present in 15 of the 17 best popsicle stores in the USA and exports more than 60% of its production.
2015 – United States Operation
The Finamac™ international sales office and production plant are officially opened in Miami, USA.
2016 – New Revolutionary Technology
With support from FAPESP, Finamac begins developing a new popsicle production technology designed to revolutionize the global market, later presented in 2021.
2018 – Global Design Expansion
New projects under the Apex Design Export Program are launched to provide increasingly differentiated equipment to the global market.
2021 – Industrial Expansion
Finamac acquires a warehouse/manufacturing plant in Miami, USA, and begins construction of an ultra-modern factory in São Paulo, Brazil.
2024 – Record-Breaking Growth
Finamac™ achieves an all-time sales record at Fispal São Paulo with the launch of new products: Finesse, Vista, Speedy Pop, Shape, Flash, and Thor. These innovations are scheduled for presentation at the NRA Trade Show in Chicago, USA, in May 2025.
